Sources and license
Ohio New Businesses lists organizations recently recorded in free official files that name Ohio. A business appears when the record has a legal form in the name, or the source already marks it as an organization, and the date falls inside the downloaded window, at most the last 90 days. The page shows the name, entity type, date, register number, address, city, ZIP code, and the activity when the source states one. County is not shown.
Carrier rows come from the FMCSA Company Census File on data.transportation.gov, dataset az4n-8mr2, filtered to phy_state OH and add_date: https://data.transportation.gov/Trucking-and-Motorcoaches/Company-Census-File/az4n-8mr2. Form D notices come from the SEC EDGAR full-text search for Ohio issuers: https://efts.sec.gov/LATEST/search-index. Organization NPIs come from the weekly CMS NPPES dissemination files: https://download.cms.gov/nppes/NPI_Files.html. New vendor accounts, after a private baseline, come from the Ohio Department of Taxation active sales-tax list: https://analytics.das.ohio.gov/t/TAXPUB/views/CurrentActiveVendorList/ActiveSalesTaxAccounts.csv. Formation rows from the Ohio Secretary of State monthly new-business files are shown when a file is imported by hand. SAM.gov entities are read only when an API key is configured.
This site is an independent directory. It is not the Ohio Secretary of State, not FMCSA, not the SEC, not CMS, and not the Ohio Department of Taxation. It does not issue certificates. Names of natural persons, telephone numbers, and email addresses are not published, even when a source file contains them. A registered-agent firm is shown only when its own name states a legal form. If the same organization appears in more than one source, the page lists every source. The date is the earliest plausible start or filing date, labeled as what that source calls it.
